Member Spotlight
Martin & Pat Conover embody quintessential Springville Museum of Art supporters: celebrating the arts in Springville. They view the Museum as the centerpiece of the community, and urge others to get involved!
This vibrant duo have been Museum members for many years. They married in 1961 and both graduated from BYU in 1962. Pat majored in quilting, textiles and business, and Martin in business and journalism. Pat has served on the Museum’s Art Ball Committee, and currently serves on the Museum’s Board of Trustees. Martin owned the Springville Herald for many years, and now sells advertising for the south county weekly’s, and serves as president of the Springville World Folkfest Board.
They are delighted with the growth of the Museum since they have become members, and attribute much of the Museum’s success to its dynamic director, Dr. Vern Swanson. They were thrilled with the new addition in 2004 and are excited for the completion of the sculpture garden next summer.
The Springville Museum of Art has a long and stable tradition of community support. We are enthusiastic about our future, and invite you to join the SMA family!
